Keep the Music Alive! Financial support is crucial to the Evergreen Jazz Festival, and all contributions are tax-deductible! Most performing arts organizations across the country derive less than 50% of their budgets from ticket sales. Happily, the Evergreen Jazz Festival does better than that, but the fact is that contributions from jazz fans like you are still essential. Festival sponsors play a key role, of course, but the Festival’s survival ultimately depends on the generosity of individuals who love the event and want to keep it going. If every patron family contributed, it would take $40 each to supply the $30,000 we need from individuals. But like most things in life, the 80/20 rule applies: $24,000 will come from about 150 families, an average gift of $160. Please be one of the 20% who strongly support live traditional jazz with a tax deductible donation. For $1,000, you can sponsor a band. For $250, you can sponsor a musician.
